New Year Reset and Declutter

Hello 2026… let’s start fresh!
I don’t know about you, but there’s something about the New Year that makes me crave a fresh start. A clean slate. A calm home that feels like it’s breathing with me, not against me. After the festive whirlwind, our homes often need a little reset—and our minds do too.

The thing is, decluttering doesn’t have to be a huge, overwhelming project (trust me, I’ve been there!). Even small tweaks can make your home feel lighter and more peaceful. Maybe it’s clearing that drawer that always swallows all the bits and bobs, or finally sorting that cupboard that somehow became a “catch-all” during December.
One of my favourite things about a New Year reset is how liberating it feels. You start seeing your home differently. Items you don’t love or need suddenly don’t have a place in your life anymore—and letting them go feels amazing. And then… the little pockets of joy start to stand out. Your favourite mug, that blanket you can’t get enough of, the things that genuinely make your heart happy.

If you’re looking for practical ways to tackle clutter and organise your home step by step, my book Organise & Declutter Your Junk Drawer is packed with tips and tricks for decluttering even the trickiest spots in your home.

It’s also the perfect moment to think about the kind of home environment you want for 2026. Calm, functional, full of spaces that support you rather than overwhelm you. It’s not about perfection—it’s about creating a home that works for you.
So if you’re feeling ready to breathe a little easier, see your spaces clearly, and start the year with clarity and calm, why not take a small step today? Even 15 minutes on a drawer, a cupboard, or a shelf can set the tone for the whole year.
And if you want a helping hand? I’m here to declutter, organise, and even take away everything you no longer need. A fresh start doesn’t have to be hard—it can actually be kind of fun.
Here’s to a calmer, lighter, more joyful 2026! 🥂
